This dressing is a great basic vinaigrette that works well for most salads or marinades. You may change out the type of balsamic vinegar to make your dressing more suited to whatever it is your cooking. It also stores well in the refrigerator for two weeks.
1/2 Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/4 Cup Balsamic Vinegar
(Consider trying a flavored balsamic vinegar to change up the taste)
1 tsp pure maple syrup
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/8 tsp ground black pepper
1 1/2 tsp dried herbs of choice
(parsley, marjoram, tarragon combination works well)
Whisk together vinegar, maple syrup, mustard, sea salt, pepper, and herbs.
Continue to whisk while adding olive oil in a slow steady stream. Enjoy!!
